A Walk Down Memory Lane

I created this layout with one of the page kits from the Latest & Greatest Basic Grey class at the Portland CK Convention.  It was such a darling page to begin with.  I just added my pictures.

Miss Personality

Here I used a Sketchy Thursday sketch.  The papers are from Little Yellow Bicycle.  The rub-ons are all from Scenic Route.  The trims are from Jo-Ann’s.  The flower trim was white and I sprayed it with a purple and blue glimmer mist.  Love doing this to get great colors and only having to buy one color of trim.

Scrap Room Re-vamp Part 1

It seems like at least once a year, I need to change things up in my scrap room/office to get some more inspiration and motivation to scrap.  So since I have been away from scrapbooking for a couple months with the whole welcoming hubby back from Afghanistan thing.  Plus the office (my scrap room) becomes the military stuff dumping zone when he comes home, it was time for a major cleaning & re-organization day in the office.

Now something you might not know about me is that when I get the idea to do something, I want to do it NOW...not in two weeks when we have the time to do the whole project.  I just have to get started now.  So once I figured out how I wanted to re-arrange the furniture, I did it.  At least with my scrapbook stuff.  Hence this is only Part One of the office re-vamp.  Part Two will happen this weekend when our darling daughter is visiting her grandparents so hubby and I can move bookcases and go through all the Army stuff inside and in the storage shed.  But here a few pictures of my scrap area as of now.  As you can see I have been creating so there is some stuff out, but this is how I work ;).

This is the view from the door.

Here is my desk.  It is really a dining table from IKEA.  But I love having so much space!

Here is the corner, so you can see where all my supplies are.  I love that I can reach everything!  So handy.

Thanks for taking a look.  If you have any questions just ask away and I will answer them.

Summer Fun Mixed Media Album from Button Farm

I bought this kit at the Portland CK Convention on sale.  I loved how this album looked and couldn’t pass up the sale price.  It used Fancy Pants Designs paper, album & embellishments.  I made the album first and then added the pictures to finish it up.

Beautiful Acrylic Album class at CKC

I took this class at the Portland CK Convention and finished the album in class back in March.  I have just been waiting for the perfect photos for it.  I used our family portraits to finish the album.  This class had a lot new techniques that I haven’t used before especially working with acrylic.  The patterned paper used here is from Basic Grey along with some of the embellishments.  I am so happy with how this album looks now that it is finished.  Thank you to HS Photography for the wonderful photo session and the beautiful photographs.

My World. My Everything.

My inspiration for this page was a June 2011 Page Maps sketch.  The cardstock is from Bazzill.  The patterned papers are from October Afternoon.  The pink ric-rac is from the sewing department at Jo-Ann’s.  The flowers are from Bazzill Basics & Prima.  The tickets and title were cut on the Silhouette using designs from their store and the Print & Cut feature.  I used an EK Success punch to create the ripped paper look.  The wood butterfly is from Studio Calico and accented with Stickles.

Are you ready???

Starting tomorrow I will have lots of new layouts and two new mini albums to share.  So get ready for lots of new stuff to look at around here.  Sorry I have been "MIA" for so long.  We welcomed my husband back from his third deployment and then had a month off from work to spend lots of time together as a family.  Now I am finally trying to get everything back to normal around here, but I did manage to get some scrapbooking time in.  I will now also be re-arranging my office/scrapbook room in the next couple of weeks, which will be nice, but it is a LOT of work too.  Wish me luck!  I will share some of those pictures too.
