You and Me Layout

I started with a Scrapbook Generation Volume 4 sketch.  The cardstock is from Recollections.  The patterned paper is from K & Company.  The blue dew drops are from Recollections.  The buttons are from my stash.  I cut the flowers and the title on the Silhouette using designs from their store and for the flowers I then used the Imaginisce petal roller tool on the edges to curl them up. The flower brads are from Making Memories.  I added the stitching with my Sew Easy and DMC floss.  And the rhinestone hearts are from Oriental Trading.

Here is a close up of the flower.  I really LOVE how this turned out!  I love the texture and thickness of this flower.  Plus it was super easy!

Merry Christmas Layout

This is for the 1-hour challenge at Club CK on 2-22-12.  I used the Echo Park Everybody Loves Christmas Collection.  I kept it pretty simple so the focus would stay on the photos.  I typed my journaling on the computer and printed it out.  I also used foam dots behind the stickers to give the page more dimension.

Happy Memories Layout

I started this layout with a Jana Eubank sketch.  The green background is from Echo Park’s Little Girl collection.  The patterned paper, stickers and journaling card are from the Country Drive Collection by Echo Park.  The buttons are from my stash (Making Memories and Jo-Ann’s) and I used twine from The Twinery.  I cut the title on the Silhouette using a design from their store and cardstock from Bazzill and American Crafts.  The orange trim is from Fancy Pants Designs.  Finally I added the flourishes with DMC floss and my stitch templates from Oriental Trading.

Fun at the Fair layout

I used some paper and cardstock from SEI for this layout.  I cut the title and brackets on my Silhouette using cardstock from SEI, Recollections & Bazzill.  I wrote the journaling on a manila tag and hid it behind my large picture.  I finished it off with ribbons and buttons from my stash.  I also used an EK Success border punch.  I wanted to keep this layout a little simpler.

I used a sketch from the Scrapbook Generation Volume 2 book for this layout.  The white cardstock is from my stash.  I used the Summer Days collection by Echo Park for this layout.  The black letter stickers were from a Dots & Strips collection also from Echo Park.  The jewel in the title is from Queen & Company.

She is Delightfully Happy layout

I started with a sketch from the book Page Maps 2.  The sketch was for a 8.5x11 layout and I changed it a bit for my 12x12 layout.  The patterned paper, title die-cut and chipboard circle are from My Mind’s Eye.  I added hand stitching with DMC floss around the large die cut paper that I cut down to fit on my paper better (it was originally 12x12).  The doily is from Paper Wishes and I inked it with three different colors to give it more depth and texture I then pulled out my sewing machine to add the stitching to the side of the picture and to the title area. Next I used stickers from Echo Park and Bo Bunny to complete the title.  The flourishes are from Oriental Trading.  Last but not least the brown chipboard birds are part of the American Crafts Thickers line.
Here is a close up of the title area.  I have to say that I really just LOVE how this whole layout came out!

Fun Escape Layout

I started with a Page Maps sketch and this adorable photo of my daughter.  The kraft cardstock is from Recollections.  I then used paper scraps from Fancy Pants.  I love that I only used scraps of paper for this layout.  I used an EK Success border punch on the flower paper.  The flowers are from Prima and I sprayed them with Perfect Pearls Mist, Glimmer Mist and Mister Huey spray inks.  The ribbon trim is from Paper Wishes.  For the title I used two different types of Thickers from American Crafts.  The date stickers are from October Afternoon.  I created the rolled flower from a scrap of paper and my Petal Roller tool from Imaginisce.  To finish the flower I crushed it and inked the edges.  The journaling card was a freebie that I found through Pinterest.

Another Valentine

So I made two Valentine's this year.  One for the hubby and then one for my daughter.  I saw this design on the Silhouette store and fell in love with it, so I knew just what I wanted to do for the other Valentine.
So I used the recollections cardstock to make the card.  Then for all the cut outs I used my Quikutz pads that came with my Silhouette.  It is 4x8 pieces of carstock with adhesive on the back, so I was able to just cut it all out and stick it on the card.  Super easy and cute for my darling four-year-old daughter!

1 Hour Challenge Valentine

As I mentioned yesterday here is the layout I created during the 1 hour challenge over at Club CK.  Now this card took me only about 20 minutes, and that is because that was all the time I had.  See about 10 minutes into the challenge my wonderful husband called me from work because he locked his keys in the car.  So I had to drop everything and head over to unlock the car for him.  By the time I made it back home I had about another 10 minutes to finish this card and get it posted before the challenge ended.  But even with all of that I really love how the card came out!
The papers are from Fancy Pants and Echo Park. I cut the hearts out by hand and put them on a Recollections cardstock card blank that I made.  After attaching the hearts together I pierced holes to sew the layers together.  For a little sentiment I added the love stamp from Basic Grey and to tie everything together I stitched around the heart for some more detail.

The twine is from Technique Tuesday.  I cut the title and banner on my Silhouette using designs from their store. I used an EK Success border punch on the pink & white striped paper.  For the journaling card I used one that I found for free on Pinterest.

Get Whale Soon Card

One of Army buddies just had surgery so we wanted to send him a get well card and this is what I came up with.  I got the idea from the Best of Card Creations Book.
I used a DCWV stack for all the patterned paper.  I cut the whale and wave on the Silhouette.  The buttons are from my stash (I think from Making Memories).  The brown stickers are from Echo Park. The word "whale" is done using American Craft Thickers.

The Liebster Blog Award

I was so surprised to be nominated for the award from a fellow scrapper.  I was nominated by Stephanie.  She is one uber talented women and I am happy to say she is super nice too.  So go check out her amazing work!

Now a little about the Liebster Blog award:
"Liebster" is German for dearest, beloved or favorite. The award is given from one blogger to another and is intended to showcase up-and-coming blogs typically with less than 200 followers. It's a chance to get more traffic to their blogs and to share the love and creativity that is out there. There is no evaluation committee or formal process for this award. It is simply peer recognition for your hard work---which is pretty terrific, right?
Obligations of receiving this recognition are minimal. Show thanks to the blogger(s) who nominated you by linking back to their blog. Share the Liebster Blog award with other up and coming blogs with fewer than 200 followers. Post the award on your own blog!
Here are my picks:
Derv: My Creative View (Has a great sense of style & passion about scrapping)
Becky: The Popsicle Tree (She is not only a great paper crafter but has some great sewing projects too)
Stacia: Happy and Scrappy (Has Fabulous layouts and makes great use of sketches)
Vicky Jo: The Stamping Idea Corner (I have "known" her for years and her talent always amazes me!)

I hope you will pop on over to these blogs and see what they have to offer.
Thank you so much Ashley!

Totally Great Layout

I created this layout using three different challenges.  The sketch is from Sketches: CreativelyYours.  I used pink twine from The Twinery for the Frosted Designs Friday Challenge.  I also used white cardstock as the base of my layout for the Scrap Fit Workout #61.

Enjoy Every Moment Layout

I used this week’s sketch over at Sketches: CreativelyYours.  I rotated the sketch and moved the circles around until it suited my pictures better.  I love using sketches as a jumping point.  It can be a lot of fun to alter a sketch to fit your style.

I used the Ad Lib patterned papers by Bo-Bunny for this layout.  The rhinestone flower is from Basic Grey.  I cut the title on the Silhouette using a design from their store that I then changed to create the second layer.  The flower trim is from Jo-Ann’s.  And as a final touch I added some hand sewing with my Sew Easy and DMC floss.
