Get Puzzled Card

This week Mye De Leon is releasing an awesome kit all about different puzzles.  I can think of so many uses for this kit.  After my first project idea for this kit completely failed (ended up in the recycling can), I went back to my original idea of making my first accordion card.  I used a cut file from the Silhouette store.  I combined Mye’s papers and smears to make some custom paper.  Luckily I was able to use the embellishments I printed for the first project.

A Hand to Hold

Last Friday Mye De Leon released a ton of cool extras to her About A Boy collection.  I wanted to create a new project to showcase all these awesome extras.  Now personally, I thought this would be a hard kit for me to use since I pretty much just have a girl that I scrap about, but I found it easy to use for projects about my daughter too.

a Hand to Hold

I layered a piece of patterned paper over cardstock and adjusted the opacity to create a softer background.  I then added journaling cards, smears, washi tape, the fun alphas and some embellishment to complete this page. I really love how simplistic this layout feels with still have quite  a few details.

Flying Disc of Speedy Fun

I think I might be obsessed with ink splatters right now.  I love the extra dimension it gives to the background of my layouts.  It seems like a lot of my layouts lately are using the same type of things, but that is okay by me, because I am having a blast creating these pages!

Oh Hello Daisy Scout

This past winter my daughter decided that she wanted to join girl scouts.  We were lucky to finally be able to find a troop that was close to us and had an opening.  Of course she joined right before all the cookies got delivered.  She was so excited to get her uniform and she looks really cute in it!

I Love This (Inspired Blueprints)

Today sketch 99 is up on the Inspired Blueprints blog.  I had so much fun working with this sketch!

IB 99 I Love This

I stayed pretty close to the sketch but I used a larger photo (5x7) and moved the title and journaling.

My Valentine

I have been wanting to scrap these pictures for a while now, but since I mostly scrap in chronological order, it has taken a while to get to them.  I have had this paper collection in my stash for a while, but I love that I was able to add some new embellishments that matched perfectly!

Awesome Adventure (digi layout)

Last Friday Mye De Leon released an adorable boy kit.  Now by now I am sure you have realized that I have a daughter, but I was still able to get this kit to work for a layout about my daughter.  I was really happy with how this turned out!

Masculine Card (Hybrid)

As I mentioned yesterday, I am loving the new masculine kit from Mye De Leon called My Hero.  My husband’s birthday was last weekend and I was really behind, I didn’t create his birthday card until Friday night.  But I have to admit that I am glad that I waited because I love how this turned out!!

Mye De Leon released this awesome masculine kit last week for Father’s Day called My Hero.  I knew she was working on something like this so I was super excited to scrap this adorable picture of our new dog.  Mye De Leon also has a fabulous new template challenge going on right now, you can check it out HERE!

Little Love for Inspired Blueprints

I keep getting blown away by the fabulous sketches up at Inspired Blueprints and the design team keep making some beautiful layouts.  Make sure to check them out and upload your layouts created with this new sketch.

Little Love

I changed up several things from this sketch.  I removed the smaller picture, used Washi Tape behind the photos instead of ribbon, and moved the title and journaling areas.  I also flipped the sketch horizontally.  I also added extra embellishments.

My Favorite Things

Every time I try to get cute pictures with my daughter, she just gives me funny faces instead.  This is something her dad taught her.  Although it drives me crazy sometimes, I usually end up loving how silly she can be.  I usually let her give me as many silly faces as she wants as long as I get at least one nice smile too.

Scrap Space Addition

I love having my own place to scrap, even though it is small (about 6 feet by 12 feet) I love being downstairs with my family.  Really, it just makes it easier to sneak in here during the day.  I am always on the lookout for new ways to store my goodies that not only make it look good and be easy to get to.  My scrapbook storage is constantly evolving.

My newest addition is this three tiered rack that I made.

I got the set of three servers on sale at Target.  They are made of plastic.  The bottom support is a glass that we had laying around, that we never use.  The top support is a candle holder from Dollar Tree.  I used some E-6000 adhesive to hold all the components together.  Now it holds all my spray ink, stickles, microbeads and glitter.  I love the deep sides and the fact that they are mostly straight, if they are angled then things can easily fall over.

Thirty (digital layout)

Mye De Leon has released her adorable part of the June Stash over at Pixels & Company.  I am in LOVE with all of the colors and patterns in this collection.

When I saw the colors I knew it would look great with this photo of the flowers that my mom sent to me for my birthday.  I even created my own washi tape with the masks from a previous Mye De Leon kit and the patterned paper from the Hello Summer line.
