Fabulous at 5 (Inspired Blueprints)

It is that time again…time for another fabulous sketch at Inspired Blueprints!  I hope you are as excited as I am to see the new sketch releases.  The design team created some amazing layouts again!!

I changed the sketch by adding a doily behind the journaling and used 1 5x7 picture instead of 2 4x6 pictures.  I also loved the look of the papers with kraft cardstock, but wanted some texture on the background, so I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the background pattern to create a tone on tone background.  I really love how this layout turned out!!

Drive Across America layout

I took a bunch of pictures along our drive, and these ended up being my favorites.  We spent 10 days driving from the Pacific Northwest to Virginia.  The trip went really smoothly overall and that was a lot better than I was expecting.  I love how I was able to include so many pictures on this layout.

It’s the Simple Things

I have really grown to love Simple Stories paper lines.  At first I wasn’t too sure, since I don’t use divided page protectors, but I have really found a way to use the collections and make them work for regular layouts!

Everyday Card (Let’s Capture our Memories)

Today there is another sketch up at Let’s Capture our Memories! This week it was my turn to make a card.  After thinking about it for a while I figured out what I wanted to do.  I pulled out one of my 6x6 paper pads for this card.  I love the smaller pattern for this card.

Celebrate 5

We celebrated my daughter’s birthday twice last year since we were in the middle of moving.  This also means that we didn’t really have a big party or anything.  Since there was no big party, I actually (GASP) don’t have many birthday pictures.  These pictures are fabulous pictures, but they still deserve to be scrapped since they showcase my daughter’s birthday.

It is almost here…the new issue of Cutting Edge Magazine!  So, I am sure you are wondering what exactly is Cutting Edge Magazine.  It is an online magazine that focuses on the various cutting machines and showcases some fabulous projects each month in a variety of themes.  The next issue will be released on March 1st.  This is also my first issue with their Creative Team.  I find that the subscription prices are very reasonable…you can try it out for $5 for an issue or sign up for a year for only $24.  You can also find Cutting Edge Magazine here on Facebook.
Make sure to come back on March 4th, for a special surprise giveaway here!  I will also be sharing some small sneak peeks of a few of my projects in the magazine.

5 Years (Mye De Leon CT Layout)

When I saw the preview for this kit that Mye De Leon made with Juliana Kniepp I knew that I would love to do a girly digital layout.  I also remembered that I had this cool template from Mye De Leon that I have been wanting to use.  So this layout came together so quickly!  What better than pictures of my daughter over the last 5 years to go with this pink and girly kit!

Feel the Joy (digital layout for Mye De Leon)

I am really ready for some warm sunny weather!  I have mostly fall pictures to paper scrap, which is great, but when I saw this fabulous collection from Mye De Leon in the store at Pixels & Company, I just knew that I was ready for some Spring/Summer pictures to scrap.  So although we went to the beach in Winter and it was not warm at all, I knew these warm and fun colors would be perfect!

December Album Part 3

I finally finished my December Album!  This is the first time I have done this project and although I love it, I might do it differently in the future…for example maybe digitally!  I was hoping to finish this in the beginning of January, but I got side tracked with a bunch of design team work and then my mom came to visit too.  So I have settled for finishing it in the beginning of February.  This is going to get a little photo heavy, so I will split it into two posts!

Be Still My Heart Hybrid Box (Mye De Leon CT)

I am in love with Mye De Leon’s newest collection Be Still My Heart!  I saw this adorable box shape for sale in the Silhouette Store and I just had to grab it because I knew it would be perfect to create a hybrid project with!

I create my hybrid projects like this in my Silhouette Studio Software.  I open my cut files and then drag & drop the patterned paper on top.  I then print & cut the various items out of Ultra Premium Presentation Paper by Epson.  I also will had some digital elements and either use the trace and cut feature of the Silhouette or just cut by had depending on the shape.  I have several more items in the works to share with you next week!  Until then, enjoy this adorable heart box!
