beYOUtiful (Mye De Leon)

I can’t believe that another month has already passed.  This is an exciting time for Mye De Leon.  There is another fabulous HUGE monthly kit that is available to her newsletter subscribers for a totally amazing price.

When I first saw this kit, I might have squealed with delight…because all of these are my happy colors lately.  I was so excited to use these.  I also wanted to try something a little different.  I love all of Mye’s journaling cards, so I decided to create a Project Life style page but I added embellishments that are outside the normal pocket sizes.

Life is Beautiful

Here is another new digital layout.  I created this layout for my Mother-in-Law to go with a gift I gave her at Christmas.  So I wanted to create a new layout for her using some pictures from their most recent trip.

Life is Beautiful

I used three different Mye De Leon products: Brave, Bits of Life and Cluster It Vol. 4 Templates.

You’re my boy

I recently picked up these adorable wood colored sequins and I absolutely love them!  I knew that they would look great with these fun pictures of my boys.  I also wanted to use some of my 6x6 paper pads, because I have been slowly collecting a lot of them.

Many Faces

I love these pictures of my daughter, but I wasn’t sure how I wanted to scrapbook them.  You see, my daughter has quite the personality and loves to take selfies.  So when I started this layout I pulled out all my PB&J scraps from Basic Grey.  She is my silly girl and she always will be!

Tired Pup.

I love that I was able to use up some paper scraps on this layout.  I have been working hard to use up some of the scraps that I keep in my scrap space.  I really had fun pulling all these different elements together.

Awesome

I created this layout for the My Mind’s Eye March challenge (use at least 3 rolls of washi tape).  I love the hand stitching on this page, between the line at the top and the title at the bottom.

Field Day Fun

I signed up for another month of the stash busting challenge.  Now I know that we are almost half way through the month and I am just sharing my first layout, but that is just because I am behind on posting everything to my blog. My goal this month is to start using up some of my buttons.    I have three plastic organizers full of buttons. Now I don’t expect to completely use any of them up, but every little dent will help and maybe it will even get me to start using them on a regular basis.

I found two unfinished layouts laying around from the last time I went to a Creating Keepsakes Convention back in 2012.  It feels really good to have these done.  Here is the first one:

Kindergarten: Snapshots of our life

With this many pictures on this two page layout and the various patterns I wanted to keep the other embellishments to a minimum. I love that I was able to document a full school year of everyday highlights in a single layout.  I put together the photo collages using templates from Kerri Bradford.

Hand Made with Love

I know that it is March, but this is one of the last layouts that I made last month for my stash bashing challenge of using Fancy Pants paper.  I have also signed up for the challenge for the month of March, so this month I will be working on using buttons.

But for now lets get back to this Fancy Pants layout.  It took a long time to get all of the stitching done on this layout, but I love the texture that it added to the finished layout.

Scrapbook Generation Blog Hop

Welcome to the Scrapbook Generation Blog Hop for March, if this is your first stop, you might like to start at the Scrapbook Generation blog and then hop through each link.

Hello Fabulous New Friend

I created this layout as part of my personal stash bash challenge.  A friend of mine issued the challenge to use only one paper company for the month and I picked Fancy Pants.  I love that I was able to use up so many smaller pieces of paper.  I loved this Scrapbook Generation sketch for using some scraps, fitting in lots of pictures, and added cute little embellishments.

You can find the SG sketches in their books and as downloads in the SG store, and there is a free sketch every month in case you wanted to try it out.  Make sure to check out their new online magazine called Create for more sketch inspiration and to see the new monthly sketches each and every month.

Next on the hop is Brenda, leave a comment on each blog and one lucky commenter will receive a free sketch bundle of their choice from the store. The winner will be drawn on Monday, March 10th, so you have one week to leave a comment.

Layouts Supplies – Sketch: Scrapbook Generation.  Patterned Paper: Fancy Pants Designs.  Cardstock: Bazzill.  Chipboard and stickers: Heidi Swapp.  Letters: American Craft Thickers.  Wood Veneer: Studio Calico.  Ranger Liquid Pearls.  Sequins: Art Minds.  Washi: My Mind’s Eye.
