Today is a Gift with You

I love these bright colors from Echo Park.  Besides the background paper, I was able to create this layout using scraps from my stash.  One of my goals this year is to use more of my scraps.  I haven’t figured out the best way to use them yet, but every little bit helps.

School Adventure layout

This picture doesn’t do justice to the beautiful gold accents on the patterned paper.  It was so fun!  I didn’t use any embellishments on this layout and I don’t mind it for once.

Waiting for Santa

I don’t usually make a lot of Christmas layouts, but this is one of my favorites that I have done recently.  I love all the sequins!

I created this layout for the Scrap Our Stash Challenge this month.  It is to create a layout using things in your stash that start with TWINE.  So here is mine:
T - Thirty + sequins
W - Wood Veneers
I - Ink (the edges)
N - Numbers
E - Enamel Dots

Supplies - Patterned Paper: Echo Park. Doily: The Paper Studio. Stickers: Echo Park. Enamel Dots: Recollections. Sequins: Lawn Fawn. Wood Veneer: Studio Calico.

How is this Comfortable?

This is another layout that I found on my computer.  This is such a silly puppy of mine.  I really love the messiness of this layout.  It is just fun!

Dad & The Gang

I just found this picture on my computer and realized that I never shared the layout, at least until now.  My husband can be such a goofball.  He sent me this picture of him cuddled up with the animals that our daughter sent him while he was away.

All Time Favorite

I love these pictures of my daughter and her cousin.  These two can be so silly.  I love that on this layout I used six different pieces of 6x6 paper from a paper pad.  What a great way to use several different patterns without breaking the bank!

Nothing like Nana Love

My doggies got so spoiled living with my mom, especially this boy.  He loved being able to cuddle with his Nana.

I had so much fun putting this layout together.  The colors of this paper collection makes me oh-so happy.  I love that I was able to pull so many different colors together on this page and it just makes me so happy!

Gift from a Special Friend

I am lucky to be able to call some very talented ladies as my friends.  She is quite the washi addict, so I made my background with lots of different washi tape.  I added a piece of textured cardstock from Fancy Pants for some much needed texture.

I am linking this up to the new issue over at Paper Issues for Snow Cold.

Snow Snow Snow Fun

I will be the first to say that I am not a snow person.  I love to look at it from inside the house.  My daughter, however, loves the cold wet snow.  She is always excited when she sees that snow is in the forecast.
Two page layouts are usually harder for me than single page layouts, but this one just came together pretty easily.  My daughter wears brighter clothes and loves pink, so most traditional winter paper collections don’t work for me.  When I saw this paper collection I thought it would be perfect and be able to be used more often than an occasional winter layout.

Happy Memory

I am so happy to be back to sharing my layouts again.  The last several months, life got crazy and I wasn’t able to make the time to scrapbook.  Luckily with the holidays behind me I am finally able to get some scrapbook time during the week.

This year I am setting a goal to use more supplies than what I buy (or even get as gifts).  With all of the new releases that come out each year, I want to have more space in my scrap room.

Now, back to this layout.  I used 3 sheets from a 6x6 pad.  I love using 6x6 pads when I can.  These pictures are just from a fun little after-school surprise for my daughter.  It is the little things I love taking pictures of and scrapbooking.

Sorry for the long break

I can’t believe that it has been so long since I have shared anything here on my blog.  Really in truth, since my husband came home life has been crazy and I am just now settling into a routine where I can actually scrapbook again.  It feels good to be creating again!  I hope to build back up to sharing a new project every weekday, but I have some big projects coming up, so there might be breaks again, but hopefully none of them will be as long as this last one.

Here are a few sneaks of upcoming layouts:
