Party Animal

Scrapbooking birthdays and holidays are not exactly my favorite.  So when I remembered this layout that I created in an Embellish It class at a Creating Keepsakes convention several years ago that I still hadn’t added pictures to, I was excited.  This page was finished in a matter of minutes and I am using up a page kit that has been sitting her for years.  That is what I call a win-win.

Laughter Makes The…

There are certain layout that when they are done they just make you smile.  And this is one of those layouts for me lately!  Between the picture and the fun paper it just makes me smile when I look at it.  This collection of paper has touches of navy in it and it just makes me so happy.  I totally love having a navy background on this page and I hope to do it more really soon!  I just makes the whole thing have a warm feeling.

We Belong Together

Almost a month ago I got some scrapbook time on a weekend, which is rate for me.  It was on that day when Paper Issues released a new idea called Sunday Scraplift in their Facebook group.  I loved the sample layout and jumped right in to create this layout using that layout for inspiration and some of their latest free cut files.

I Will Always Love My Girl–LMT

Today I am here with a layout that combines two of my favorite things...washi tape and digital cut files. I made my own background and then used some washi tape to create patterned paper.

Here are a few close-up pictures of the various washi tape patterns on my layout.

I really love the look of the ripped tape and having the different pieces so they don't line up on the sides.  The whimsy feel to it is perfect for this layout featuring my daughter and me.

Did you notice that the silver tape is not transparent?  I love the solid feel of this tape and the fact that it is covered in glitter just makes it over-the-top perfect.  I love the little bling it adds to my page.

Here are the links to the washi tape I used: Silver Glitter Washi Tape, Heart Washi Tape, Black Grid Washi Tape.

Unforgettable

This is another layout that I created for the National Scrapbook Day celebration over at Scrapbook Generation.  I loved finding these two pictures from when I was a little girl.  This sketch was fun to work with and I love how it turned out!  I am looking forward to scrapping more childhood pictures in the upcoming months!

Snapshots of Me

This year Scrapbook Generation did a week long celebration in honor of National Scrapbooking Day.  This year the challenges revolved around scrapping yourself more.  This inspired me to dig through a couple of photo boxes of pictures from when I was younger.

The other thing that I have been loving lately is using the color navy.  It has such a warm feel to it.  I am just so happy on how this layout turned out!!

Hello Summer

Okay, really it isn’t quite summer yet, it just happens to be the title of today’s layout.  This layout didn’t have a lot of room for embellishments  since it has 6 photos, a journaling square and a large title, but I think it works perfectly for this layout!

Hello Summer layout–Love My Tapes

Today I am sharing a fun new layout for Love My Tapes!  I find it hard to believe that summer is fast approaching, especially since I am still scrapping about last summer!  That is okay, with me though, because I love using the bright fun colors that always seem to go with my summertime pictures.  For this layout I combined some patterned paper (the strips) and lots of washi.  I cut a bunch of circles using my silhouette and thin white cardstock.  I then covered the cardstock with strips of washi tape before trimming the excess off.  I love adding extra patterns to my layouts with the use of washi tape, plus the rolls seem to last forever!!

Below are some close-up images, along with the washi tapes that I used.

Behind the title is the Hot Pink Stripe Washi.  I matched up the strips of washi tape so that it would create a striped pattern on my circle.

Here you can see the Black Grid Washi tape and the Hot Pink Stripe Washi.

The top circle is Pink Bubbles Washi, the little circle is Silver with White Star Washi and the bottom circle is Turquoise Chevron Washi.

Sun, Sand, Sea

I took a ton of pictures on my short trip to Santa Cruz last summer and I wanted to scrap most of them on a single layout.  I fit 15 pictures on this single double page layout.  For the background I grab two different teal colors of acrylic paint and lightly painted on some white cardstock until I got the look that I wanted.

Cowgirl Up

I wasn’t sure if I would love this layout until I was almost done adding embellishments.  I have been searching for some good navy blue washi tape for about a year now and I am happy to say I now have a few rolls and they were really handy for this page.

My Sweet Sleepy Girl–Love My Tapes

Hello everyone!  Today I am here with a super quick washi tape layout that I created for Love My Tapes.  When I look at all my washi tape I notice that have a ton in certain colors.  One area that I see to always have a bunch of is black & white washi, so to create this layout I grabbed a bunch of rolls and just layered them on a piece of cardstock to create a fun background.  I then added my photo, a title, some journaling and a few embellishments to finish up this project.

This is the first (I think) layout I have created that has been fully black & white.  I have to say, that I love how this turned out with my black & white photo.

Supplies -  Cardstock: American Crafts.  Tapes: Love My Tapes. Embellishments: Webster’s Pages, Making Memories, Glitz, A Flair For Buttons, Eyelet Outlet, Queen & Company, Jenni Bowlin Studios, Viva D├ęcor.
