SOS–I Am….

For this challenge at Scrap Our Stash we had a use the sketch and add metal to the layout. I moved all of the elements of the sketch lower on the page, so that the pictures are on the bottom of the page. I also changed up the sketch to use five photos instead of three because I couldn’t decide which pictures of my daughter to use on the page. This cute little metal geo-tag was the perfect color compliment to my page and I added a cute enamel dot to the middle to finish it off.

Remember That Smile

I love that I came across some pictures when I was little so I have been adding them into my “to-scrap” binder and working on them when I am inspired to use them.

For this layout I love the various pieces of patterned papers behind my photos.  I grabbed a 6x6 paper pad and then layered various pieces together to create the base for my photos.  I really loved adding these pop of yellow around the page.

Scrapmatts is supplying 2 large pieces of chipboard of winner’s choice and Lindy’s Stamp Gang is offering a $25 gift card to their online store.

Here is the fabulous sketch that I started with:

10-15 Stuck

So the first thing I did was to change the shape from a star to this fun arrow shape.  I also changed the orientation of my two photos to work with these cute pics of my daughter on her bike. As much as I love to just play with my supplies I have been finding myself wanting to add more journaling to my pages, so I added journaling to the bottom right corner.

Riding The Rails

I can’t believe that I fit 9 photos on this single page layout!  I wanted to use all these photos but I didn’t feel like the sizes were right for a two page spread, so I grabbed various patterned paper scraps and just started layering them all together to create a base for all my photos.  I also have a bunch of little die cuts already in my stash that I printed and cut for other projects, but never used, so I dug around and found some various ones that work perfectly for this layout.  I am determined to start using more of my stash!

Sparkle with Beautiful Friendship

Scrap Our Stash is joining up with three other sites for a special Scraptober Fest challenge.  Here is a list of the participating sites and their part of the challenge:

· Scrap Our Stash Stash challenge  - Create a layout using at least 2 different type of Washi Tapes.

· Challenge YOUrself - Create a layout that includes YOU in the photo.

· My Scraps & More -  Color Challenge

· The Memory Nest - Sketch Challenge

It was so fun and interesting to combine all four of the Scraptober Fest challenges on a single layout. I changed up the sketch by just using a single 5x7 photo. I loved having the chance to scrapbook a page about my friendship with a fellow scrapper. The color combo was perfect for this photo of the two of us hanging out together while we scrapped. Luckily I use a lot of these colors, so I was able to dig into my scraps to pull this page together. I had no issue finding matching washi tape since I am quite the washi collector and I kept it to two because I had so many different patterns already.

SOS–Hoops

It is time for another word challenge over at Scrap Our Stash! I have been sitting on these basketball photos for a year now and figured it was finally time to scrap them. The colors threw me for a bit of a loop and I wasn’t sure how I was going to create a girly layout about a sport with masculine colors. Luckily, it seemed to come together. For the letters, I not only inked the edges of all of my paper (something I love to do), but I also used ink to stamp the little hearts all over the page. I included my daughter’s uniform number by her picture. I added a piece of kraft cardstock to balance out all of the bright colors and patterns. I then used various stickers across my page and of course that cute heart stamp.
I - Ink
N- Numbers
K- Kraft
S- Stickers, Studio Calico, Snarky Stamps
SOS 10-1 Hoops
Supplies - Cardstock: Oriental Trading. Patterned Paper: October Afternoon, Echo Park. Letters: Fancy Pants Designs, Studio Calico. Stickers: Echo Park. Embellishments: A Flair for Buttons, Eyelet Outlet, Snarky Stamps.

Awesome Time

I have a serious problem with 6x6 pads.  I keep saying I want to make better use of them and then I just buy more.  I loved this pad when I found it on sale so I snatched it up.  For this layout I grabbed a few sheets and then cut them into strips to create this fun patterned paper column on the background of this page.  I added various circle embellishments and some word strips to complete this layout.

what an awesome time with you

Supplies – Cardstock: American Crafts.  Patterned Papers: Jen Hadfield for Pebbles.  Stickers: Jen Hadfield, Basic Grey, Tim Holtz.  Digital Cutter and Software: Silhouette Cameo with Designer Edition Software.  Washi tape: Little B.  Embellishments:  Chic Tags, Heidi Swapp, Glitz, Teresa Collins, Recollections, Basic Grey.

Look In a Book (Picture This)

Yesterday a new challenge went live on the Picture This challenge blog.  So picture this…. 3 PHOTOS + CHIPBOARD + STAMPS.

I have to admit that I don’t stamp that much…okay, pretty much never, so this really had me searching on something to do.  Luckily I found some cute stamps that were part of some kit I got, so that is what I used.  I also had some chipboard stickers and added those as well.

I hope you will head over to the blog to see what the design team created and make sure you play along as well!
