Celebrate the Silly - The ScrapRoom

Today I am sharing the layout I created for The ScrapRoom.  Bright fun colors with fun patterns make scrapbooking so fun! I used the Shimelle, Echo Park, Fancy Pants and Dear Lizzy papers in the Shots of Life and Patterned Paper Add on kit for this layout. The embellishments are in the Shots of Life kit. I finished off the page with some Thickers and the Thickers ruler that I got from The ScrapRoom shop.

The ScrapRoom has several kits to choose from including several add-on kits.  Each page kit includes enough supplies to at least create a double 12x12 layout.  And since the add-on kits coordinate, you can really expand the number of layouts you can create each month. If traditional style layouts aren't your thing, they also have a pocket scrapbooking kit called Shots of Life and they are introducing a card making kit!

April Pocket Pages - The ScrapRoom

I love that the Shots of Life kit from The ScrapRoom include the latest and greatest goodies available. I combined some Dear Lizzy and Shimelle papers for this page and then used some Crate Paper stickers. I then finished up the page with some Thickers and the Thickers ruler that I got from The ScrapRoom shop.

So I am not a disney girl. I went once when I was a little girl and that was it, so I decided to use the Echo Park part of the Shots of Life kit to document these fun photos from a ScrapRoom girls weekend last October. I used some of the cards and die cuts for this double page pocket layout.

Laughing All the Way - Scrap Our Stash

Scrap our Stash has a great mid month sketch + word challenge.  This month's sketch features a grid style photo block on top of layers of patterned paper.  Don't forget to dig in your stash for supplies for the word challenge.  This month the word is FLOWER. I really loved all the different layers and the photo grid with this sketch. I dug through my scraps to mix and match papers to create this page. For the word part of this challenge I used:
F- Flair
L- Layering (title) and Little B
O - Oval, Overlay,Orange
W- Wood, Washi, White
E - Enamel Dots
R - Recollections, Red

I of course broke out my new (to me) vintage typewriter to add my journaling for this page. I hope this has inspired you to join us with this challenge. I can't wait to see your creations.

Our Family Time - The ScrapRoom

Each month a designer creates a two page layout as our recipe layout.  Subscribers receive the instructions to duplicate these layouts with their own kits.  This month my layout uses this page kit from Paper House.  This page kit includes some really great patterns that I loved working with on this page. My favorite part is the fact that I used my typewriter to add my journaling to the typewriter sticker that is on the sticker sheet.

Hello Gorgeous - The ScrapRoom

Today I am sharing the layout I created for The ScrapRoom.  I created this page with the PhotoPlay page kit that is in the DoubleShot kit.  The ScrapRoom has several kits to choose from including several add-on kits.  Each page kit includes enough supplies to at least create a double 12x12 layout.  And since the add-on kits coordinate, you can really expand the number of layouts you can create each month. The soft colors and vintage feel of these paper from Photoplay Paper threw me for a bit of a loop at first. As soon as I remembered these photos of a visit to a carousel, I knew they would be perfect with the papers for this layout.

Mod Tastic - Scrap our Stash

Hello April!  I can't believe that Spring is here and that we are already into the 4th month of 2017.  I have now been back to working full-time since the new year and I keep thinking that I will settle into a new routine and find some more time to scrap.  Honestly, that hasn't happened yet.  All I have managed to do is scrap for my design team assignments.  I truly miss having the option to scrap during the week.

I have really been loving these Tic Tac Toe challenges each month at Scrap Our Stash. This month I decided to use the right column. I started with Chevron Paper, Ephemera (I got the MOD sticker and the "Oregon's Gone Mod" postcard when we got dinner) and Thickers (second part of my title). I then added some embellishment to go with my fun papers and it all just "pops" off the wood grain background.

I can't wait to see which Tic Tac Toe you use for your project!

Hope - The ScrapRoom

Today I am sharing a layout for The ScrapRoom. I always love how the Patterned Paper Add-On kit coordinates with the Shots of Life kit. It makes it easy to combine kits to create more layouts. I paired the Simple Stories papers with some stickers from Crate Paper and Dear Lizzy to create this page. I changed up the sketch to work with 2 vertical photos. I love how the triangles of patterned paper really draw the focus to the photo.  You can easily make those triangles into just regular strips or even just reduce the number of them.

On a Whim (TSR)

I started this page with some blue cardstock from my stash. I then used some of the Dear Lizzy Lovely Day paper in the Add-On Kit along with the Lovely Day cut-apart sheets and puffy stickers that are in the Shots of Life kit to create this page. I finished it off with some of the chipboard stickers by Amy Tangerine in the Shots of Life kit and some homemade enamel dots.

March Pocket Pages for TSR

I totally love seeing and playing with all of the new collections that have just come out from the latest craft & hobby show.  I really loved these lines from American Crafts, by designers Dear Lizzy and Amy Tangerine.  The are filled with fun patterns and bright colors that really had me excited to scrap these photos from this past summer.  The Shots of Life kit makes it so easy to create pocket pages to mix in with your regular pages (like I do) or to just create pocket pages.  The left overs always coordinates with the other kits for extra embellishments or even to make some cards.
Copyright: Cassie Wiscarson
I was swooning over all of the cards from American Crafts in the new kit. I created this page using the Dear Lizzy Lovely Day cut apart sheets and puffy stickers. I added a chipboard word from the Amy Tangerine line and some stickers from Crate Paper. All these super cute goodies helped me put this layout together in a snap.

This line from Amy Tangerine called On a Whim (that matches the papers in the Doubleshot Kit) are perfect to document some fun summer pictures. These bright colors are so much fun to work with in the dark grey days of rain here in the Pacific Northwest.

Hello Sunshine (SOS)

I can't believe that it is already the end of March! I had fun with the latest Sketch plus word challenge at Scrap Our Stash. I stuck really close to the sketch this month.  At first I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with the large circle element on the page, but then I remembered these fun printed acetate shapes from Bella Blvd and decided to trim it down into a circle. I really loved the bright whimsy design on the crisp white cardstock.  Lastly, I added a metal paperclip that goes around the number "9" on the numbered patterned paper, which is perfect since my daughter is nine years old in these photos.
For the word part of it I used:
C - Calendar, cardstock
H - Heidi Swapp
 A- Acetate, American Crafts
R - Recollections
M - Metal

I can't wait to see what you will create with the word CHARM and this sketch!

Sunshine Memories Adventure (TSR)

The super cute line from Crate Paper that is in the Patterned Paper Add-On Kit and the Shots of Life kit was perfect to match together. The FFF made putting this page together super easy. I just cut my papers and then moved them around until I liked the look. I added an extra 3x4 card from the Shots of Life kit as my title card.

Chill (TSR)

Each month The ScrapRoom releases new kits.  The Flavors of the Month kit comes with 4 different page kits from 4 different scrapbook lines.  The Doubleshot Kit is a mini version that features 2 different page kits from 2 different scrapbook lines.  Now each Doubleshot subscriber will receive directions on how to put together a 2 page layout from each page kit.  This month I created the recipe for the On a Whim line by American Crafts.

Spring is just around the corner and that means that all of the fun summery type of collections are being released.  I love working with these bright fun collections while the weather is still grey and cloudy here in the Pacific Northwest. This was a really fun page kit to work with this month. I loved the bright fun colors and prints in the On A Whim line. And I seriously adore the skinny gold washi tape!

Hello Spring (TSR)

The soft colors and prints of this Photoplay Paper line called "Bloom" took me a little out of my comfort zone, but in the end I love how the layout turned out. The full 12x12 sticker sheet provides so many options for embellishments.  This is quite the fun page kit to document any of those Spring or even Easter memories.

I Love You Today (SOS)

When I saw this month's Tic Tac Toe challenge at Scrap Our Stash I immediately thought of the title "Lucky in Love" so I picked this goofy selfie that my hubby took. I then grabbed some bright papers and started cutting different sizes and layering them together on this striped background. Now when I started cutting into the cut apart sheet I loved this green card with the "i love today" written on it.  I used some mini alphas to add "you" to it and then that card became my title saying.

As for the Tic Tac Toe part I did two...the middle vertical of Striped Paper, Gold & Flair and the diagonal of Washi Tape, Gold and Mini Alphas.

I can't wait to see what inspires you with this challenge.

When I opened up the Patterned Paper Add-On Kit I immediately loved this piece with the large geometric heart and colored strips behind it.  I wasn’t at first sure how to use it, but once I picked out my photo I started playing around with different pieces of patterned paper and cut apart cards.  I used paper from Simple Stories, Fancy Pants, Crate Paper from the Patterned Paper Add-On Kit and supplies from the Shots of Life Kit from Simple Stories, Fancy Pants and Pebbles.  I then finished off my page with some homemade enamel dots.

The first thing I did when I opened this kit was swoon over the super cute love themed cards.  I cut up the various sheets and mixed and matched the cards to create my pages.  The set of glittered hearts from Pebbles are super cute and look great with the variety of cards.  I just love the black and white striped washi tape too.  For this page I used cards from Simple Stories, Pebbles and Fancy Pants Designs.

This is another page I created using the cards from Simple Stories, Pebbles and Fancy Pants Designs.  It is usually hard to get cards from so many companies to work so well together.  I finished off the page with some washi tape and glittered hearts from the kit as well.

Peaceful Moments (SOS)

I am really loving these sketch plus word challenges that Scrap Our Stash has added this year. After looking at the sketch I found these three photos that I wanted to use. I dug though my scraps for the patterned paper. After looking in my Silhouette library for a while I decided to change up the triangles for this cute heart die cut file. I have been dying to use some of these navy blue washi tapes that I finally got, so I skipped the stitching and instead used several different washi tapes. My favorite thing about using sketches is that you can just use them as a starting point and really make it your own.
As for the word I used:
C - Cork, Camera
U - Uniball Pen
P - Pebbles, Polka Dots
I - Ink (on the edges of my papers

D - Die Cuts.

I can't wait to see what you will create!

I am really enjoying the love theme in the kits this month.  I combined the Patterned Paper Add-On Kit with the Shots of Life kit to create two layouts this month.  I loved working with the Jump Start Sketch this month.  I decided to rotate the sketch to work with my photos.  I then moved the photos and title areas around until I liked the feel of the layout. For this page I used patterned paper from Crate Paper, Fancy Pants and Simple Stories (all in the add-on kit) and Simple Stories, Fancy Pants and Pebbles (in the Shots of Life Kit).  I also pulled out the washi from Simple Stories and hearts from Pebbles in the Shots of Life Kit to complete my layout.

The love and valentine’s theme is in full swing with the page kit from Pebbles that is included in the Doubleshot Kit.  My family really loves all of the family dogs, so I decided to create a double page layout that features all of our cute dogs.  This is my recipe layout for the month; remember that subscribers to the Doubleshot kit now get recipes to create two 2 page layouts.  The diecuts and washi strips in this page kits were easy to use to add some additional visual interest to the page.  The title letters and the homemade enamel dots are from my stash.

I created this page using the page kit from One Two Canoe.  I started with the blue cardstock and wanted to continue with the blue color theme with the papers that I selected and layered together.  The stickers and cork pieces that came with the page kit were some of my favorites.  I also loved the patterned paper and words that come on the branding strip of these papers.  I used some foam squares behind some of the photos for additional dimension and then finished off the page with homemade enamel dots.

January Mix the Kit Layouts for The ScrapRoom

These are some of my favorite layouts to create each month!  I love to mix the Shots of Life kit with the Patterned Paper Add-On kit to create traditional 12x12 layouts.  The colors and patterns look fabulous together and have the smaller goodies in the Shots of Life kit is like have a bunch of extra embellishments and layers for your kits.  Fabulous!

I love all of the pink in the cut apart sheet from Pink Paislee that is in the Shots of Life kit especially when I saw the matching papers in the Patterned Paper Add-On Kit. After I picked out my photo and started playing around with the cut apart sheet and the stickers I decided to create a grid style page.  I was able to add pieces of patterned paper to fill in empty spots.  I finished off the page with a few homemade enamel dots.

The colors on these Fancy Pants cards in the Shots of Life kit really spoke to me and I couldn’t wait to use them on a layout.  I paired them up with the Fancy Pants paper in the Add-on Kit to create this page.  I used some of the Project Life cards and cut them into circles for my embellishments before finishing off the page with some decorative staples from We R Memory Keepers and homemade enamel dots.

It's Time to Dance (SOS)

I love the new challenges that come out each year at Scrap Our Stash.  For the second challenge this month it is a sketch + word challenge. I found this sketch super easy to work with and pretty much just stuck with it.  For the word part I used: G- Grey, O – Orange, A – Alpha print, Aqua, L – Little B, Liquid Pearls, S – Spray Ink, Stars. The word challenges have always been one of my favorites because it really challenges me to look at my stash to pull out items that feature those letters.  I can’t wait to see what you create!

I created this page using the Patterned Paper Add-On kit for January from The ScrapRoom. I loved the colors ad prints on these papers and couldn't wait to use them on this page.  I also used a few left over pieces from the DoubleShot Kit as well.  I always love when I am able to mix and match collections and use some small embellishments from my stash to finish off the page.

January Shots of Life Pages

Ahhh...the holidays are behind us, which means we are getting back into the groove and going through the winter blues.  I am already longing for the longer days and the new blooms of spring, but since that is still several months away I will just sit back and play with the fun bright colors in the latest Shots of Life kit from The ScrapRoom!

There is just something about the pocket page cards that makes me happy.  I love looking at them and deciding which ones I want to use.  Also, a lot of the time you can easily cut some up for cute embellishments.  For this two page spread I used the Project Life cards and embellishments that are included in the Shots of Life kit.  I even added some of the embellishments on top of the pockets.  Another 12 photos are ready to go into my albums.

Copyright: Cassie Wiscarson for TSR
For this pocket page I combined the Fancy Pants cards with a piece of the Project Life die cut shapes to create a fun page super fast. Pocket pages don’t have to be complicated. I took so many pictures on this day and really love most of them, so it would be impossible for me to just create one or two pages, but with some pocket pages thrown into the mix I am now able to document more photos that I love.

The colors and patterns in the Fancy Pants page kit are so pretty!  I wasn’t sure if I would love the floral paper or if it would end up being too busy on my page, but in the end it really works.  Remember that Doubleshot Kit subscribers now get a recipe for each of the page kits. I finished off my page with some cork letters for my title and 3 small white homemade enamel dots.

YAY (Layout for The ScrapRoom)

I was swooning over the page kit from Pink Paislee when I opened the Doubleshot Kit.  The embellishments had me so giddy!  I loved the fun birthday theme and the colors, so I knew photos from this day would be perfect.  I decided to use the FFF challenge to complete this page.  After I got all of my pieces cut I just played around until I liked the placement.  After the photos and papers were down I decided to use the sequins to make a giant heart shape on the page.  I finished up the page with a few more embellishments from the kit and even used some left over patterned paper to make my own journaling strips.

New Scrap Our Stash Challenge

It is the first new challenge for Scrap Our Stash in 2017 and this one is a Tic Tac Toe challenge.

I combined two tic tac toes to create this page.  I used Mist, 5+ patterned papers, Twine, Paper Clip, and The Color Blue. When I go to start this type of challenge I first eliminate any blocks that I know I won’t use, in this case “winter theme” since I knew I didn’t have any printed winter pictures.  I then grabbed my photo and started looking for paper and I ended up using blue, so I decided to do the bottom row.  By the time I added some mist I noticed that I already had 5 patterned papers on my page for the two tic tac toes.  I can’t wait to see how this challenge will inspire you!
